Overview 

The terms of Mayor Elise Ryan, Councilmember Jerry McDonald and Councilmember Mark von Oven will expire at the end of 2026. Terms of office are for four years, and members are elected at large. The municipal election is held in conjunction with the General Election on November 3, 2026.

Filing: July 14, 2026 until July 28, 2026 at 5 p.m.

A candidate who has filed for office may remove their name from the ballot by filing an affidavit of withdrawal. Candidates may withdraw within the filing period, or by 5:00 p.m. within two days of the end of the filing period. The affidavit of withdrawal is filed with the city clerk.

Campaign Financial Reports

Per Minnesota Statute 211A.02 Section 6, all campaign financial reports from the City of Chanhassen Mayor and City Council candidates are required to be posted on the city's website.
