Welcome to The Local – a video series that brings you inside the heart of Chanhassen!

From innovative entrepreneurs to beloved neighborhood businesses, The Local showcases the people, products, and places that make our community thrive. Hosted by Economic Development Manager Samantha DiMaggio, the series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the passion, creativity, and hard work driving Chanhassen forward. Since joining the City in 2022, Samantha has uncovered countless stories of dedication, innovation, and local pride—now she’s sharing them with you.

Each month, we feature a different business rooted in creating, crafting, cooking, or selling something right here in Chanhassen. We’re especially looking to highlight businesses that:

• Cook Something: Restaurants, cafés, bakeries, caterers, and culinary entrepreneurs.
• Make Something: Local manufacturers, artisans, builders, brewers, and anyone producing goods in Chanhassen.
• Sell Something: Independent retailers and specialty shops offering unique, locally driven products.

At this time, we are not featuring professional service businesses (such as real estate, insurance, consulting, or similar fields). Our goal is to spotlight the hands-on makers, creators, and local shops that shape the character of our community.
