Overview

Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) permits are required for the installation of septic systems when sanitary sewer is not available to the property. These systems are required to be designed and installed per the: 

• Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Rules, Chapter 7080
• Carver County Ordinances, Chapter 52
• Chanhassen City Code, Chapter 19, Article 19-IV

Installers and designers are required to be certified by this agency. You can find more information from Carver County or the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
