As construction gets underway shortly on the Market Boulevard Improvement Project, the City of Chanhassen is inviting residents to keep showing up for downtown, and its businesses. 

This summer, the city is hosting a series of fun, family-friendly events designed to celebrate downtown Chanhassen and support the local businesses that help make it such a special place. The goal is simple: bring people together, create memorable community moments and encourage residents to shop, dine and spend local during construction. 

Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for three special downtown events: 

June 2: Downtown Celebration at Market Square 
Enjoy live music from American Bootleg, balloons galore with The Baron of Bubble, outdoor fun and a chance to gather with neighbors in the heart of downtown. 

July 2–4: Chanhassen’s Annual July 4 Celebration 
Celebrate one of the city’s favorite traditions with several days of community fun at City Center Park and throughout the area. 

August 18: Pop-Up Splash Pad Party at Market Square 
Cool off with a family-friendly evening downtown featuring water-themed fun, activities and summer energy. 

These events are part of the city’s effort to support local businesses during the Market Boulevard Improvement Project while giving residents new reasons to enjoy downtown throughout the summer. 

Whether you come for the music, the food, the activities or simply to spend time with neighbors, every visit helps support the heart of our community.
