The city tree contractor will be completing tree pruning on trees on the south side of W. 78th St. between Galpin Blvd. and Audubon, as well as trees on the south side of W. 78th between Westwood Dr. and HWY 41. Work will be completed before the end of March 2026. Pruning plays a vital role in maintaining the city’s green infrastructure by promoting tree health & sustainable growth, enhancing public safety, and improving the appearance of trees.

The project is anticipated to be completed within 1–2 weeks. During this time, some traffic disruptions are expected, as space will be required to accommodate the equipment necessary to carry out the work.
