Residents who visited the new Chanhassen City Hall during the recent public open house helped make the event even more meaningful by bringing donations for local food shelves that have supported families in need for decades. Thanks to their generosity, 500 pounds of food were collected to help restock shelves ahead of the busy holiday season.
If you missed the event—or simply want to keep the spirit of giving going—donations can still be dropped off at City Hall throughout the holiday season. Both PROP and Bountiful Basket are always in need of nonperishable items such as canned vegetables, soups, peanut butter, pasta and cereal. You can leave donations inside City Hall’s north entrance during normal business hours and staff will deliver them on a regular basis. It’s an easy and meaningful way to give back and support local families this holiday season.
