As the seasons change, so do our roads! Starting Monday, March 3, 2025, spring weight restrictions will go into effect across Chanhassen and all of southern Minnesota. These seasonal load limits help protect roads from damage as the frost thaws and pavement becomes more susceptible to stress. 

Chanhassen’s Public Works crews will be out placing weight limit signs and flags across the city, marking this annual transition. These restrictions remain in place until conditions stabilize, at which point they will be lifted—officially kicking off street construction season in Chanhassen. 

If you’re a commercial driver or operate heavy vehicles, be sure to check the latest load limit maps and updates from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to ensure compliance.
