Staying informed about the city's policies, projects and initiatives is an important part of being an engaged and empowered member of the community. And we know the Chanhassen Villager's closure in April 2024 made it more difficult for residents to stay informed.

We’re committed to bridging that gap and ensuring you know where to find the latest updates. Here are a few ways that you can stay informed:

-Social Media: The city regularly posts on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Threads and BlueSky. These social media channels are a great way to stay engaged with our community.

-City Council Updates: Subscribe to our email notifications to receive copies of City Council agendas and packets. You can also watch each Council meeting live online (replays are also archived for later viewing). After each meeting, we post a summary of the outcomes on our website (see a recent Council Summary here). 

-Official Newspaper: Chanhassen's official newspaper is the Sun Sailor. You can subscribe here.

-Community News: A group of residents has launched a non-profit online news source called Carver County Local News. Learn more about it here.
