Comcast has begun expanding its fiber-optic network to Chanhassen. Contractors will install fiber-optic cables, which may involve visible work in public rights-of-way and utility easement areas, such as street and sidewalk areas. Although the work is not being done by the city, the contractors have city-issued permits to install the cable in the right of way.
