Chanhassen residents donated more food by weight than any other participating community during the 2026 Night to Unite Multi-City Food Drive Challenge benefiting Bountiful Basket Food Shelf.
The community contributed 2,773.5 pounds of food and $629.86 during the challenge. Chanhassen competed alongside Carver, Chaska and Victoria, which collectively donated 6,685 pounds of food and $4,891.10.
Chaska was named the overall challenge winner based on the event’s combined food and monetary totals.
Donations were collected during Night to Unite activities and throughout the three-day challenge. Contributions will help Bountiful Basket Food Shelf provide food and other essential items to local individuals and families.
Thank you to everyone who donated, organized a collection or helped make the challenge a success. The friendly competition may be over, but the generosity shown across all four communities will continue to make a difference.
