Post Date:07/29/2026 11:12 AMPhase 2 work is proceeding nicely thanks to cooperating weather and not finding underground surprises. The tunnelling operation under the railroad has been completed, a big step for the project. Watermain work can now begin. Installation of the water reuse system piping has begun, and private utility relocations are still proceeding. Once the utility work is completed, road building can begin. We are still tracking completion of Phase 2 and opening the current road closure on or around September 15. Phase 3 will begin immediately after completion of Phase 2. Phase 3 includes Market Boulevard work at the West 78th Street intersection. Advanced notice will be posted ahead of the Phase 3 closures and detours.
