The Great Plains/Lake Drive East Rehabilitation Project will rehabilitate about 0.5 miles of roadway, including full-depth pavement removal on Great Plains Boulevard from Grandview Road to Lake Drive East, curb, sidewalk and driveway apron replacement, minor storm sewer repairs, tree trimming and brush removal. Work that started the week of July 6 includes traffic and erosion control setup, pavement removal and curb and sidewalk work progressing west through the corridor, with Lake Drive East temporarily converted to one-way westbound traffic while local, business and resident access is maintained throughout construction.
